About the Company

Starting in 2024 we set out on a mission to create the greatest charcoal grill in existence.  There have been a lot of ups and downs and several design iterations, but we are confident that our flagship Smoke-N-Sear grill is unlike anything that you have ever used.  We are committed to producing premium products in the USA.  We take an uncompromising approach build passion into all of our products.  We intend to fill our portfolio with other products that feature functional, intentional, and aesthetic design with uncompromising quality. 

About the Name

The company is named after our late dog Elmer.  Elmer was a mischievous but lovable mut, known for his propensity for mischief, his playful demeanor, his legendary appetite, and  his otherworldly obstinance.  Over the course of his life he evolved from a stray puppy in Lexington, KY, to a companion, and ultimately to a trusted family member.  We chose to name the company after him, not just out of nostalgia, but because his nature embodies the vision of what we want the company to be.

Message from the Founder

This company is the evolution of a passion project I began in 2024 (or maybe more like 1994).  Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated by math, science, and mostly how things are made.  This lead to me studying engineering, and ultimately a 20 year career in manufacturing.  I am a husband and father of 4, on most Sundays we enjoy a family dinner on the grill.  On these Sundays, I started to ask myself, "What is the perfect charcoal grill?".  This curiosity lead to the iterative creation of what is now the Smoke-n-Sear grill.  While the design will always evolve, I feel that the product as it stands is the most perfect grill that I can make.  We are determined to create a sustainable company, with a domestic supply chain, andto deliver products that bring joy.  I hope you feel the same way!
